The Adventure is Almost Here!

The final payment is made, I have received all my vaccines, and made a list of what to pack. The trip is three weeks away!

The generosity and support from everyone in my life is so wonderful. My travel partner, and best friend, Allison, has found a woman who makes dresses to send down to girls in Africa. She found out the hard way that sometimes the items don't make it to where she wants. So, she has entrusted Allison and I to take 150 dresses to the children in the area we are working. I'm so glad to be able to deliver this amazing donation! Also, with the generosity of Mrs. Demonte and Mr. Abruzzo, I'll also be bringing some used boys clothes down to donate. Along with the clothes we also have many books to give, and even some new soccer balls for the kids.

Allison and I are both bringing two bags with us. One bag, which we will carry on the plane, will hold all of our supplies and clothes. We will try to fill out second bag with all these donations, and hopefully more!

For now, I'm finishing up the semester and hopefully finding more donations for the community we'll be staying in.
